I’ve been busy for a while (putting it mildly). I know. Sorry.
Anyway, I’m participating in this 30 nail challenge and thought it’d be a good idea to post my interpretations here. Here’s the challenges:
I’m not going to do it in 30 days, because that’s just silly. Whenever I change my polish, I’ll move on.
So here is Day 1: Your favourite polish. This wasn’t my original thought for my favourite polish – I was going to start with China Glaze Riveting next week, but then I put this combination on and WOW! I love it
This is a england Avalon (2 coats) under Max Factor Fantasy Fire (2 coats). I’m in love, although my poor photography skills aren’t doing it justice. I wholeheartedly recommend a england nail polishes – they apply like butter and the colours… Yup, they’re that good. I hear they even stamp well, but I’ve not tried yet. I’ve got Avalon, Tristam and Lady of the Lake. Because I’m totally predictable and love purple.
I’m not sure what to pick for day 2, honestly, as normally polishes become my least favourite for reasons of application not colour/finish. I do have one idea….
As a blast from the past, here’s a manicure I wore during Advent.
This used China Glaze Ruby Pumps and Barry M white with a striper brush from a green polish, and my beloved dotting tool. Then Seche Vite over the top of everything – and yes, I am holding a GIANT bottle of top coat. Please don’t zoom in on this one as you can see where I was a bit pushed for time and everything smeared. Weirdly, the Seche Vite also had a crackle effect on my (not pictured) thumb. It’s never happened before or since…
I love Ruby Pumps and get compliments on it every time I wear it. It’s so shiny and glittery. Just go out and buy it already! I think I have one more Christmas themed manicure for you and then I’ll showcase some of my new purchases and gifts since I last updated you… about 2 months ago!
Meanwhile, if anyone would like to get hold of a couple of Lynnderella polishes for me, I’d love it as I fear I have become obsessed with Change, Snow Angel and Connect the Dots. You can buy it at llarowe.com on January 4th. Y’know, just FYI.
A quick update on an old manicure I never got round to posting – this is one from the Model’s Own Beetle Juice collection – Emerald Black, with Nubar 2010 over the top. A really nice duochrome colour – green/black and then the flakies on top of that? It reminds me of oil slicks
my shoes have shipped! my shoes have shipped! my shoes have shipped! my shoes have shipped! my shoes have shipped!
I’m so klassy.
Zoya’s apple. I love Zoya polishes – they go on so easily. This is a quick two coats and is still a bit sheer but I like the effect.
Long work day today (7.45am till probably 10pm) so this is the most you’ll be getting out of me for a few days while I clear the backlog!
Ugh. Lots of my nails broke this week so I decided to take them all down to try and salvage what was left. This makes me sad. To try and make myself happy again, I’ve painted them purple – OPI a grape fit, with purple and silver glitter – China Glaze CG in the city from that new collection I can’t remember the name of.
Having said all this, my first week of school is going well!
This is my lovely nails after 14 hours on the bar at a wedding.
Gosh holographic with barry m black stamped with a konad stamp (as if I remember which!!)
